Buffalo Wing Pasta Salad Recipe
Many poor unfortunate pasta salads all over the world just exist complacently in mediocrity. Not this one.
30 seconds after I sampled it, my tastebuds knew this salad was destined for greatness!
Glance through the ingredient list and you’ll find this isn’t made with chicken. It certainly could be! – But I didn’t have any; sometimes my greatest inventions in the kitchen come as a result of “not having any”! The ham was superb in this with the flavors used.
Pasta salads are like happiness in a bowl; the perfect accompaniment to just about anything you can cook! They also hold their own as a stand alone as well. For my family, it’s truly a comfort food. And it doesn’t hurt a bit that in the end I feel pretty famous for ‘bringing it to the table’. (Excuse the corny pun.)
Every single time I serve this salad, everyone loves the flavor! And this is exactly the type of “left over” my husband prefers to have for his lunch the next day. I’ve heard this salad got rave reviews in the break room!
Let’s get cooking, shall we?!
Ingredients List:
- 1 box of elbows or shells cooked
- 1/4 of an onion diced
- 2 stalks of celery diced
- 2 carrots sliced or diced
- 1 & 1/2 cup cauliflower cut into small pieces
- 1 cup picnic ham cut into pieces
- 1 cup olive oil mayo
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1/2 cup crumbly blue cheese (undeniably the shining star of the show!)
- salt and pepper to taste
Blend all ingredients and be sure it’s nicely chilled before serving.
It is incredible and such a nice change from plain old pasta salad! Try it!!! You will love it I’m sure. (Well, you will if you like buffalo wing sauce anyways.)
Please let us know if you try it and what you think! Or – What is your favorite pasta salad recipe?? We would love to hear them so be sure and share with us!
This sounds fantastic – I love the bleu cheese in there. Thanks so much for linking this up to the Friday Frenzy.
