Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party

Fall Favorites in my home means Cookies! Cookies are perfect for Back to School and Tailgating. Or even just enjoying the company of your neighbors who are finally outside
after a very hot summer!
So I decided to throw a Cookie Party! Complete with a Cookie Bar-Fall Party! Go Me!
Before we get started Head over Enter to win! in the MARS Bake In The Fun Sweepstakes  #bakeinthefunsweepstakes Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party I honestly think Fall is the best time of the year. To me it makes me feel homey and I love to surround myself with the beautiful colors of Autumn. It is the time of the year that I cannot wait to get in the kitchen and create gifts, recipes and let my home be filled with the delicious tastes that it has been missing while the HOT weather was visiting. One of my favorite gifts to give is Cookies in Jar. There are so many recipes and ways to decorate them that my mind goes C R E A T I V E !! I especially like when all I have to do is open a box and pour in the contents, add a few items and that gift is complete. Same holds true for my Cookies In Jar that your going to love to make yourself and giveaway 🙂 Let me show you how easy it is to put this Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party Together Complete with a Cookies in a Jar to take home so your friends can make their own cookie bar at home 🙂 Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party Supplies Needed

    • 1 Quart Canning Jar 1 Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix (Flavor of your choice)

  • 1 Mott’s® Applesauce Snack Pack 1/2 Cup M&M’s® Pecan Pie 9.9oz

  • 1 small Sack or plastic bag Twine Cards or Wooden Miniature Signs String Fall Leaves

  • 1 Sharpie

Create your Cookies in a Jar: Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party

    • Open 1 Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix and pour slowly into quart jar.

  • Open plastic bag and add 1/2 cup of 1/2 Cup M&M’s® Pecan Pie or M&M’s® Milk Chocolate Harvest or M&M’s® Peanut Harvest.

  • Tie or Zip bag up and place in top of Cake Mix in Jar.

  • Put smiley face on Mott’s Applesauce

  • Add Tag – See Below

  • Add Twine

  • Add Leaves

** Create your tag: Mine is Carrot Pumpkin Cookies ( On one side I wrote the title of the jar. One the other ingredients needed to make the cookies.) Cake mix cookies are delicious and very few steps involved so these are perfect for Kids and are a ton of fun for the whole family to do) Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party Just put the Cake Mix and Candy into the quart jar. Because the hang tag does not give you room to be precise. Print the recipe if you would like and give to the receiver or do as I did up above. 🙂 Ingredients 1 Quart Jar filled with Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix I used Yellow Cake ( In the quart jar) 1/4 cup pumpkin 1 Mott’s® Applesauce Snack Pack 1 egg 1/4 cup shredded carrots 1/2 Cup M&M’s® Pecan Pie ( Use in cookies or I used mine for decorating! They are also delish to snack on while waiting haha Directions: Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a bowl, mix together cake mix, pumpkin, applesauce, and the egg. Once everything is mixed together (and it will take a little elbow grease), add in the 1/2 Cup M&M’s® Pecan Pie and mix again so they are evenly distributed into the batter. By rounded tablespoons drop dough on a greased cookie sheet. Tip: The cookie batter is really sticky. “Dip spoon in a little flour”. At this point I like mine round so I dip a glass in flour and shake side to side over the cookie to shape it. ( Mom my taught me that) They always look uniform that way. Leave plenty of room between the cookies on the sheet, since they will flatten out and spread as they bake. 2 or so inches is fine until you know how they spread. Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes. You want the edges of the cookies to be slightly brown when they are done. Leave on sheet to cool before transferring to not break the cookies. Prep Time: 5 minutes Bake Time: 15 minutes Yields about 2 dozen cookies Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party I don’t like to glue on Canning jars so I tied the twine and put the leaves between the band and the twine. Worked Perfect. On the Mott’s® Apple Sauce I added a smiley face because I’m happy like that haha. Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party The rest of the party was so fun and easy. Have fun is the point to these parties so let your imagination and your love flow. Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party I used my Mother’s Crystal. I lost her 5 years ago and am finding that it gives me great pleasure to entertain with her dishes. Besides who doesn’t love Crystal? I  put the cookie decoration in their own individual crystal cups.  I loved this because they were easy to reach into and did not get all over the place as with small holders. It also looks beautiful don’t you think? Cookies in a Jar – Cookie Bar – Fall Party I had an absolute ball creating this Cookies in a Jar Cookie Bar- Fall Party for you and cannot wait to see what you create. I even added donuts because there is nothing like the taste of Cinnamon Donuts and Apple Juice to get your in the fall mood! Remember the fun part is you can use great name brands like M&M’s®Pecan Pie, Mott’s®, Snapple® Apple, Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Cake Mix and Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme®  Frosting to cut your work time in half and spend the time you save decorating and creating things like Our Cookie in a Jar! Be sure to check out more delicious Fall-inspired recipes here. I’d love to hear your favorites! This looks like it was a really fun day! I love ever season but I especially have a soft-spot for fall (or Autumn as it’s called in Australia, which doesn’t actually make much sense!). Thanks for posting 🙂

Now how fun is this? This would be a perfect craft for the kiddos to take to their teachers. Not only that, but you can change it up per holiday seasons. I know that several of the store around here have had m&m’s on sale too which would be a good deal with this idea.

I love jar cookie recipes! They’re so fun and they make the easiest gifts. Everyone loves cookies. I’ve never had a carrot pumpkin cookie before, but it sounds delicious. I’ll definitely have to give it a try next time I’m batch making gifts for people.

Oh I so love cookies and pastry if I may add. The M&M cookies are to die for. Can someone from the M&M’s department bring those cookie variants here in our country? I would love to try those, really! Anyhoo, the party looks cool and hope that one of my friends will make that an inspiration.
