Patriotic Berry Tarts
When Memorial Day and the 4th of July come around, I am always asked to attend several gatherings for fun and laughter with friends and family. Sometimes I even have small brunches at my house, because what is a better way to spend the day that we are thankful and give thanks for our freedom than with the ones we love? Whenever I go to these gatherings, I am always asked to bring my Patriotic Berry Tarts.
Most tarts are made with a pie crust by using your average pie crust or by making a cookie dough crust, similar to this one made by Taste of Home. While those are delicious, they can also be super messy trying to cut the tart, plate it and then get a piece of all that goodness onto your fork. When I make mine, I use mini Phyllo Shells so that the tarts are individual and so much easier to eat. These can be prepared ahead of time and then put together before you plan on serving them. If you wish, you can also drizzle caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or any sort of sauce for an added zing to your tart.
These Patriotic Berry Tarts are really so easy to make and your family will Thank You!
