 Make your own Boot Planter

There is one thing that gets me really excited! When I can make something from what I already have and not have to spend any money– that’s a pretty great feeling!

If you have any rubber boots or ‘wellies’ at your house, they will eventually crack if they are put to the test like ours are! And cracked rubber boots are no good, right?  Let’s put them to use!  My hens & chicks succulent (that multiply profusely)  love these planters.  Last year I also added violets to the top portion of another pair I made. They also do well.

Just cut the boot to the height you want your planter, drill holes in the sole, and cut out a section of the top of the foot and you’re done! Add soil and plants!

It’s a great way to add country charm to your front step, and it didn’t cost a dime!
