#10000cupcakes, #donate, #CookForTheCure

This year KitchenAid teamed up with hhgregg and the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness and raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation which helps research for a cure to such a widespread disease. You may have noticed photos of the delicious and spirited cupcakes that we made to feature this 10,000 Cupcakes promotion and KitchenAid Cook for the Cure. These yummy and pretty pink cupcakes are perfect for promoting such a worthy cause. If you tweet and share on Instagram KitchenAid will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation; all you need to do is use the hashtags #10000cupcakes and #donate when tagging!

We love this promotion because cancer is a scary and awful disease that has touched everyone’s life at some point or another. Pretty pink cupcakes are easy to make and they are fun! Decorating these cupcakes to be part of the 10,000 Cupcakes and Cook for a Cure promotion was fun but it was also a reminder about how important it is to get involved. We need to do whatever we can to help support early awareness, detection, and funding for a cure!

There are TONS of ways to get involved and help fight for a cure to breast cancer. KitchenAid is also helping to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation by hosting cooking classes where 100% of the proceeds are donated to the Komen Foundation to support Cook for the Cure! There are lots of ways to get involved with this great cause during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can find out about other great programs like these on the KitchenAid site! In recent years KitchenAid has partnered with Villeroy & Boch to create Pass the Plate. Pass the Plate is a ceramic serving platter with charming artwork created by PBS cooking show host Jacques Pépin. The plate is meant to be passed along to friends and family along with a culinary specialty prepared by the giver. Once the plate is passed, the recipient is then asked to do the same. Every time the plate is passed and registered, KitchenAid will donate $5 to Komen!

Has breast cancer impacted your life? Will you be joining KitchenAid & hhgregg in supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation by tagging your cupcake posts with #10000cupcakes and #donate? Are there other Cook for the Cure programs that interest you?

Today’s post is sponsored by hhgregg, by my desire to help the fight against breast cancer is all my own!
